1200 DVT Front Sprocket

  1. Cheers, pretty sure I have a 32mm socket. Does the ducati tool not come in the toolkit?

  2. Yes, it does.

  3. Well test road the bike today and has much more punch.
Can pull away in second and roll on at 70 and even from 100 is much better. Very pleased.
    Thanks for all the pointers.

  4. Can someone tell what the benefits of changing the sprockets, is it acceleration or top speed? Thanks in advance.

  5. As far as I understand it going down a tooth on the front is same as increasing 2 - 3 teeth on the back.
The bike as standard is too highly geared maybe for emissions... Not sure.
By lowering the gearing the bike will drive more slowly. This makes it easier to control in traffic and also lowers top speed.
The bike also accelerates faster .

  6. Struggling with this!

Got the nut off but can't budge the washer behind it.

    Any advice please?

  7. ok, shifted it with mole grips :)

  8. can someone please post a pick of their sprocket cover.

The sidestand cable just doesn't look right?

    Cheers.

  9. Ok tested the 14t today, huge improvement but the traction control lights are going ballistic over 7k.

Has anyone changed their race mode settings to fix this?

    Thanks.

  10. I may have misread the user manual (or I've got a fault with my bike) but I thought the only time traction/wheelie/ABS lights come on is if there is a problem....and when they are working they don't light up?

  11. I believe when they are working (intervening) the yellow lights at the top of the screen in the corners light up - which is normal

If you have a warning light and message there is a problem - or that is my take on it.

  12. You are right, not that I doubted you ;) - I've just re-read the relevant bit of the manual.
I know DTC has intervened (on gravel and on white lines) so either my lights aren't lighting up or I'm not looking at the display when they do; I'll have to check it out.

  13. I have only seen my lights come on once - but suspect the wheelie control kicks in without the light - because I can not get it up (ooh ere missis) no matter how hard I try - I have the 42 tooth on back - tried in sport and touring (standard settings except engine on high)

  14. Yes the two red lights in the top corners light up when the tc kicks in.

Never got this with the 15t (in sport) in the dry. But the extra drive of the 14t is activating it all the time.

Will change it from 4 to 2 and see how that goes.

Has no one else noticed this?

  15. Red lights in corners are rev limiter warning - yellow lights are traction / wheelie control warning.

I have had the red ones light up quite a few times..

  16. No, over rev and tc use the same red lights.

According to the manual P33, and my eyes :)

  17. I can't comment on the effect of the 14t, but maybe adjusting the level of intervention in all riding modes is a necessary consequence?
