  1. That sounds good Peter.Do you know how much is left when the fuel light comes on?

  2. Not really, i always try to get to a garage to fill up, but i will get my receipt and check.

  3. had to put in 14.36 litres

  4. Thanks Peter. That makes it just over 2 litres left when fuel light comes on.That could be very useful for future reference if running low on fuel.

  5. I fill mine up with the bike on the sidestand and right up to the lip of the tank.

  6. I do the same.

  7. I never bother to check, had a moment recently when the light came on, I was out and about and didn't have a clue where the nearest station was - 15 miles later and I have not passed one station either side and I'm now off the bike and google is in play.

I always use Carlos Fandango Megajuice in mine, I'm morally convinced it pops and bangs more on overrun with higher octane which I like.

  8. So that's why you guys don't get decent range! You're not filling the tank all the way...

  9. Vehicles use more fuel in urban riding - shock horror. Bikes take in more fuel when they are filled as the bike is stood upright - shock horror again. Bikes use more fuel when you rev the tits off them - shock horror. Desmosedici pseudo race replica does 60 to the tank - blimey. Bikes have small tanks and small reserve - never!

Engage brain and make it work, then the answers are obvious.

Why make a tit of yourself at the dealer when you can do it here in front of thousands......................

  10. As garages have this thing about not filling while sat on the bike, I always fill with the bike on the side stand.

I would not like to juggle the bike upright being held by me and also the fuel hose with modern tensions on those things being like dragging a priest off a choir boy.

I have an image of me smugly thinking I've got another 300ml in there just as the bike goes one way and the hose pulls me the other - this would only happen in a full garage so maybe an empty forecourt would be OK for practice.

  12. Anytime mate, anytime :)

  13. Are you lot for real?

    Honestly?

It's like listening to kids in the playground playing Top Trumps - badly - because they don't understand the game.

I hope none of you have important jobs involving responsibilities or making decisions or that affect people's lives.

Wake up and smell the shit.................

  15. I'm guessing Supervee missed out on the March 14th celebrations, probably too busy making important decisions about posting on a casual forum and venting.

Lighten up Supervee, it's just a forum about our toy bikes.

  18. Take your brolly then:biggrin:

  19. Ill be taking the car :-D

  20. The point stands about filling up sat on the bike to. Always do it myself too, and brim it, especially if its likely to be 100 miles til the next stop or you lose possibly a litre of capacity.
