Anyway, feedback.

You were right, an extra £600 at the Co-Op for a whicker basket! I almost fell off my chair. Saying that they do look rather nice and you can tell that a fair bit of work has gone into them. They reminded me of hot air balloon baskets, just a wee bit more decorative weaving.

What really shocked me was the fee for the local Crematorium, A GRAND, a thousand of your Eeengleesh poons; now I know why Jesus wept! Mother would be turning in her grave if she had one.

Can't fault the Co, great service, good people and all for less that £3k as Mother specified. " I dinnae want nae C**T profiteering aff ma corpse when I'm deid!" Quote, unquote. Ah Mother, so poetic....we shill miss her firebrand wit.

Due to the current plague you are limited to 12 mourners in the Chapel, all spaced, all masked. They do however, for the modest sum of £25 quid, film it and broadcast it on tinternet. We had folks in Oz watching on line which was nice.

So big thumbs up to the Co and I would recommend them to a friend.

There is a way round it.
Write a signed letter to your survivors and tell them very clearly where it is before you die. With your will, normally.
Leave very precise instructions about what you want.
This will quell their emotions to the point where it is more important to fulfil "grandads" wishes, rather than make funeral directors unnecessarily prosperous.

I object to anybody making money out of me or family, but funeral directors I have no problem with. I really would not want that job, so if they make a bit of cash then fair play...
