Fury Or Klitschko?

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by Gimlet, Nov 24, 2015.

  1. Klitschko's condition looks much better than Fury's. Feel like Fury is going to be battered.

  2. I get the feeling he will still be making headlines (for the wrong reasons) in years to come

  3. Klitch looks like a pro fighter, fury is just a big guy who never met his match. Til now

  4. Got Fury in an odd round on sweep stake.

  5. Well I know sod all about boxing, which is similar to you lot by the looks of it ;)

  8. Well done Fury. Looked like too much to handle for klitschko.

  9. Why wouldn't he just let go a few rounds earlier!

  10. My money's on Fury.

  11. Can't argue it, he won. Did pre game tactics help? Maybe, buts all fair...
I expected more as did most and shall remain dumbfounded. Throw earlier!!

  12. Seen the "fight" twice now (big boxing fan) and still can't get me head round it? I know fury was very awkward to box with all the switching to southpaw and back but Klitschko just didn't seem to want to mix it or have a fight? All very very strange??? I'm just wondering if there is a contract for a big money rematch in the offing- watch this space cos the boxing world has got more moves than a chess board

  13. Fury was a 5/1 outsider on Betfair - Harry Grout must've cleaned up

  14. He was 10/1 to go distance and win on points! I did Fury to get knocked out in under 60 seconds @40/1 and to lose in round 3 @ 18/1! Wish I'd known that they had replaced Klitschko with a Big Friendly Giant who doesn't like hurting people? Maybe Furys camp told Klitschko that if he hit their boy and made him look a mug that his family would but plots of land either side of his old mum?

  18. to be fair the bookies didnt exactly get it spot on either and you know what they say about never seeing a poor bookie etc..

  19. We were all, bookies included, going by past form which means Klitschko fighting like a machine and Fury strutting and preening and flailing around like a top-heavy windmill. We hadn't expected Klitschko to nod off as soon as he got into the ring. He hasn't done that before.
I agree with 749ducaticonvert, there are machinations afoot. Klitschko was already talking about a rematch in the post-fight press conference and Fury has refused to fight David Haye saying "I'm not giving him a payday. I'm not here about the money because let's face it the next fight with Klitschko is going to be for a lot of money." Sounds like they've got it all planned out.
