I think you have to have Targaryen blood to ride a dragon. Bran could warg into the dragon and that would then allow any of the other characters to hitch a ride while he was in control.
We don't know who is John Snows real father do we? It's not Ned Stark, but his mother is Neds sister, could it be a Targaryen?
We know exactly who's he is. Rhaegar Targaryan and Lyana Stark. The interesting bit was Spoiler: Latest episode spoiler was Gilly reading about Rhaegar's annulment and secret marriage. That means he's not even a bastard of Rhaegar but a legitimate son. This puts him above Dani in terms of succession
