M1200 gentle exercise this evening, changed down to 1st for junction, pulled away - Neutral light stays on for a bit as I change through the gears, then indicates 1st and doesn't alter. Hmm, best return to base...Try switching off then on again. Still indicates first, though in N. Won't start (because it thinks it's in gear and on the side stand). Will start, but only if sidestand retracted and clutch pulled. Once started, clutch can be released, but without lowering SS. Before I start delving in, anyone experienced this or have any suggestions?
Found this: Gear relearning procedure. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2016/MC-10086369-5448.pdf All set to try the above, but this morning all seemed well, so I left well alone, then went for a canter without any issues. Just looking for attention again, I suppose.
GPS reset needed as Neutral light only available when cold; after running for a bit, GPS loses touch with reality. Ducati technical bulletin procedure above didn't work. Solution: take it to Dave Wood Racing Unit 16 Hillcrest Way Buckingham Industrial Park MK18 1HJ 01296 336750 www.davewoodracing.com [email protected] Plugged in, re-set on rolling road ~20 minutes turnround, £40. Bingo!
