Apologies if this has been dealt with before - I did search but struggled... Can anyone confirm the correct pin size for an under yoke front stand for the 748/916/996/998 etc series? I presume they're all the same...? Cheers, jm
They don’t have them as std. lots of people have done the mod but requires the front end taking off. If a previous owner has drilled a hole there already, just measure it and use the right pin for the job. Most under yoke stands come with a selection of pin sizes. IIRC, you won’t be able to go much wider then about 20mm as it’ll get too close to the steering stem. I put my stem in a 3 jaw Chuck on the lathe and put a 16mm hole in. (Keeps the hole central).
