  1. Hi, Not sure, contact QB Carbon and ask, they are still going.

  2. what does the cable going into the tank do? I assume thats after market?

  3. It's the breather connection.

  4. Will do cheers!

I managed to do the belts and resolder the wires I cut to remove a faulty after market immobiliser, going to try a home made fork seal cleaner tonight, if that stops the slight fork seal leak, it's off for mot, cannot wait!

  5. Yep that's the breather pipe, and it does look like a QB tank to me , has it been pro sealed?... they are notoriously porous around the fuel pump housing hole.
    Pretty bike BTW.

  6. Thanks for the reply, it started to leak last week, I thought it was the seal but after draining the tank, I found a loose piece of resin, so it looks like it needs resealing, is this easy enough to do or best to get a specialist?

  7. You could try it yourself with something like Caswell, i did my 999s 23L Kamna CF tank with it ,but even after the most careful prep and really taking my time and trying to do it properly it still developed a weep around the pump area after a few days, seemed to me like it was leaking past the 'o' ring seal, no matter what I tried I never sorted it properly and in the end I put the stock tank back on and sold the bike (not cos of the leak!)...if I had to do it again I would get it done professionally.

  8. Cheers, I've been asking around at work today(slot of classic bike owners!) Best recommendation is a classic car restorer, luckily there is a Landover restorer down the road from me so I will pop in and see if they will do it.

  9. Sadly no one will touch it as they are afraid of damaging the carbon, so i will have to have a go myself.loads of the old stuff came out, this is after a full tank of premium after 3.5 years standing. 11. Quick update, i contacted qb to see if they can re seal, they declined... but found a radiator and tank repairer in hartlepool, they have it now and have a turn around of 2 to 3 weeks, will update when i get it back.
Also can anyone give me a good price estimate of my bike, clean mot, new belts tank repaired etc(not planning on selling just want a good baseline). cheers

  12. Just bought this off the bay, tried it on the bike, doesn't seem to line up with the fairing orientation, do the track fairings have a mounting bracket inside to mate? IMG_20181101_181518.jpg IMG_20181101_181554.jpg

  13. That doesn’t look like my Pierbon one. The “arms” don’t appear to be long enough.
Mine has arms that curve around and end sort of where the mirrors would normally attach.

  14. yeah, looks like you are required to drill new holes, clock lays quite flat too.

  15. Finally found a pic of one mounted, new points drilled in the fairing. Yoyodyne top.jpg Yoyodyne bottom.jpg Yoyodyne mount.jpg Yoyodyne bar.jpg
