I’m looking for a new lid, I’m intermediate oval & this one hurts, even after the spoon trick & 2k mikes. So here is my shortlist, any opinions welcome. 1. HJC R-pha 90 2. Schuberth C3 3. Nolan N500 anyone have first hand experience on these? I don’t want shoe/Arai, I’ve had a few before & not liked them at all.
I have a Schuberth C3 Pro and previous two helmets have been C2 and C3. BUT the fit of a Schuberth will not suit everyone, seems you have to have a Schuberth shaped head . I have friends who cant wear Schuberth and they go with Sheoi, Aria and HJC. The only way is to try them on in the shop to get the best most comfortable fit. I find the C3 Pro to fit well and it is quiet enough to ride with no earplugs for short rides.
It seems unless I’m willing to waste time by ordering, Trying on then returning, lots of different ones the only answer is to wait & go to the shops. Shame as I have a lot of time on my hands to research but I keep going round in circles!! Haha. Stay safe everyone.
