Heres another 1 I’ve just sold I had the intention of restoring it to A1 But ran out of time really & maybe interest
That’s in much better nick than the ones I had back in the 70s! If you get the chance to try a 360 you would find they are a much nicer ride: enough power to really explore the limitations of the suspension and tyres.
I think this is the perfect balance, A1 conditions and I would be afraid to use on the road. Think is time to start restoring my 1975 500T....took the bike in bits couple of years ago, not a lot happened since.
Do you have any hint on why are these so cheap? Paid £1600 for my CB500T back in 2011(iirc) even if I rebuild-it to your standard will barely worth £3500(if at all). In my opinion these are one of the most beautiful classic bikes out there, especially in that dark brown colour with gold stripes.
I advertised it on Facebook marketplace..... Simply because I’m fed up of Fleabay !!! I originally advertised it for £1600 At 1 point there was 54 people trying to buy it ! So I pulled it off & said offers So if you discounted 50% of them it still had a lot of interest After I sold it to a local A guy msg me & said he’d collect it that day at £2500
That was impatience can only hope the buyer will appreciate your time spent on the bike. What I meant is why are generally speaking the 70's 4 stroke twins cheaper than let's say 70's 2 strokers or even 4 cylinder 4 strokers?
Just seen this....this my dads bike...its been in a shipping container for 4 years wrapped in blankets...went to look at it last week...it needs a good strip, clean and rebuild...this was before it went in though...
