I've just come in from the pub and realised I have just replied to this thread in three different ways, nope, 4 now
Exige: I hear everyone has Italian roots, how far back is the question. My great - grandfather came to the US from Calabria area. Everyone in the US with my last name is blood relation. The gov't made them chop it at Ellis Island. My moms side is Irish but ehh, EVERYONE wants to be irish. I have jokes about half Italian and half Irish. I don't need a man, I can fight with myself and at least I'll win. Or I'm amazed they stopped fighting long enough to have me. I had a nice older lady at the post office comment on my Ducati jacket. Asked if my husband rode with me. I laughed and said "honey with 2 Ducati's who needs a husband?". A few guys looked surprised and laughed. My bikes and my 2 teenage boys is all I need these days. Side note. Tapatalk function is weird. I can't quote anyone on it. The back function is quirky too. I just ordered me some new tools to wrench on the Ducati.
Your cool I like you I have ditched tapatalk now I use the icon idea and the mobile version. Now that Rob has sorted my issues out it's better than tapatalk
I was in Ducati Caffe in Rome a couple of weeks ago...Nice atmosphere, sitting next to a Panigale while you're having an espresso....Good luck with it.
I found that there was a no riding season that was too long when I lived in England, I also found that work got in the way of a good ride on the few sunny days the UK has. At the age of 46 I sold everything except the bikes, his and hers, jacked in the job, and rode south till I got to the south of France. The riding season is all the year round down here and as I decided to retire it is also 7 days a week.
There's no weather or time of year so bad you can't get out on your bike. There's poor clothing and wrong tyres but get those right and you can be a hardcore 365 biker. Plus. the offs i've had in snow have been more comical than painful so no excusses. Get out there!
There are a lot of Italians in the UK, especially up in Scotland, I think there was a prisoner of war camp up there. So many liked the area after the war was over they went home collected their families and took them back to Scotland, I really don't know why as it is so cold up there.
