  2. What was actually wrong? and what caused it?

  3. If i didnt laugh id cry....breakdown of communications....i got the side cases cerakoted, but to get the generator side back on a bearing had to be pressed in....when i picked up the cases from the cerakoter he said "better run it through a parts washer to give it a clean out"....I took the cases to my mate who is a mechanic who offered to press all the seals back in, left it with the receptionist and said " can you ask him to run it through the parts washer also...." picked them up a week later....and he didnt get that message....grit went into the crank and here we are...i should have checked also but assumed he had....

  4. Bang head with a big mallet next time- cheaper and less pain..

  5. yeah - a 2.9k mallet...!

  6. Hopefully you got the painting done though :)

  7. TBF a chunk of that cost was cerakoting the engine, exhaust system and other bits and pieces....in a cruel twist the engine seizing gave me the opportunity to do that.....previously i always looked at the front barrel (peeling paint and corroded) which set my OCD into overdrive....engine should look like brand new when i go up to collect it...
