Now, it is the Ducati Supersport S, KTM 790 (if I need something light), and the Triumph. Feck shaft drive Guzzis!
From https://www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesoci...tiger-900-2020-rally-gt-pro-review-price-spec In my three, I now have the KTM, Triumph; but I had the Ducati Supersport S rather than the Multistrada 950s (although it has been in my three before I replaced it with the Supersport). No rush as I can't legally ride a bike and cannot physically get on one. Just like touring: the journey is as interesting as the destination!
Slight revision (I am sure everybody else is on the edge of their seat with interest at my choices!!!) The Triumph, coz of it's "Adventure" status has 19 inch wheels. Fook that. I want a road bike. Guzzi V85 has a 19 inch front wheel so forget. KTM 21 inch front and 18 inch back So, back to: Ducati - Supersport S, or Multistrada 950 s (but the Multi has a 19 inch front wheel, so Supersport S which comes with 17 inch Pirelli Diablo Rosso tyres) Oh dear, what a pity, never mind. It will have to be a Ducati Supersport S . Some dealers (like M & P at he moment (in Cardiff)) do deals on pre-reg jobbies. If one comes up at a Ducati dealer within 100 miles - Riders in Bristol or Bridgewater, M & P in Cardiff, & Ducati Worcester or Oxford - I'll go for pre-reg. That's it! Done! Next bike will be a Ducati Supersport S. Now I need to concentrate on three small matters: no driving license, no money, and serious family opposition!
And it sorts out all of that test ride rubbish! Now, just test ride the Supersport - if I don't get on with it (and I know that I will) it will be a kwacker Versys, or nothing - I'll just run what I have.
And my criteria is within 100 miles. I can get to Moto Rapido by a good cross country route, within 93 miles, according to Google. At the monent, they've got this: That would do.
