I Need Some Help 1200s Or R??

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by RexDangerVest, Feb 15, 2020.

  1. Beautiful.
Remember... Black is the fastest color. It absorbs the most light so there are fewer pesky reflective rays slowing you down.

  2. OK so remember up at the top where I said...
I am researching a pending bike purchase.
I generally research things to death before I purchase...
    in general....

I now have two pages open with about 8 bikes open on each.
    Count down to the spreadsheet...

OK, OK, it just got worse/better...
I can scroll the wheel on the mouse and it scrolls through the bikes!!!
    Now I cannot stop!!
    Thanks again.

  3. 'There can be only one.......'
    In black of course!!!

  4. Yes, I agree with your general drift.
The "R" will depreciate less than an "S" for sure.
It's also the last pinnacle of the breed now that the Streetfighter is back.
Makes me want the keep the "R".

  5. I considered an R or an S, I picked the S in the end, why? I dont like the black forks, I wanted the quick shifter and the seat can be lowered which it cant on the R
More than quick enough for me.

  6. I maybe selling my 2018 1200R with Termi's and only 2500 miles.

    PM me if you're interested.

  7. I bought a 2014 1200S on Saturday. 4.5hr Drive there... 4.5hr RIDE home.
It got Dark, Cold, and it rained a little on me and the 5yr old Super Corsa Sp's... Plenty of tread. But a little hard I think.

Tons of extras on there... 5300 miles $8500.00
    Marchesini Wheels
1 Rizoma Spy mirror Left side
    set of folding Ducati levers
1 Ducati lever protector Right side
This makes it look very cool... the 2 sides not matching... But I need 2 mirrors. Set on the way.
    Ducati performance front turn signals
    And upgraded headlight bulb
Full set of 3 Evo Radiator/engine/oil cooler guards
Crash things for the engine and front wheel
A very clean tail tidy. Unsure of the name but it is an all in one Brake and turn signal...
Rizoma lower plate arm and plate bracket.
    Termi's with upmap
    Ohlins Steering Damper

I think that's all. Oh, and a free hat!

  8. Also... Plus a quickshifter and I have not needed the wheelie control or cornering ABS yet.

  9. Maybe you have Rex,but as it is so good you did not know :)

  10. I am generally to far from redline even when going fast for the wheelie control... so far.
I have overcome the Rear ABS and slipper clutch (Simultaneously) a couple of times... Braking hard and downshifting in to corners... But I wasnt cornering yet... ;)
