I guess you could perhaps invest in a race track in the middle of nowhere (host moto GP) and instead of giving your kids anything, make them share holders, just need to think of a really sensible location. One where it's not surrounded by several air ports, hotels, and with several motor ways in easy reach via a reasonable road network in a central-ish location. Of course there would be no point even attempting it unless you really underestimate the budget and time scales also. It's such a great idea, I can't think why no one has thought of it already.
I've got pretty much everything I want, and I don't like buying new so... Kawa 500 HIR : BSA Rocket III : BSA A70,(some hope) : BSA A50 : Rob North Trident : narrow case Ducati 350 Scrambler : a 1974 Ducati 250 in yellow : the list is bloody endless... A farm big enough for a decent enduro course and private airstrip. A Diamond DA40 Tundra Star and a Mk26 Spitfire Pay all my blokes a massive bonus And I'd like to give some away to random strangers, just for the pleasure of it.. I've not really thought about it though, honest :Cigar:ead:
If I had a big, big win I think I may just scale down work, and do more of what I like to do know in my spare time. I might treat the kids and grandkids. Maybe
Decontaminated now, so they say. Too small for me anyway and too close to the mainland. I'd be able to smell the tourists if the wind was wrong. I was thinking of something more along the lines of the Isle of Harris. :Cigar:
harris is nice. one of the bonnier Hebrides. nice beaches and mountains. most of the others are a bit flat.
Ah, the Austin Eggroll, I'd forgotten all about it. Thanks for bringing it to mind. The only choice for me is the one in beige with the brown vinyl roof. Mmmm! Nice. Although Ducbird might prefer the one in red. A fitting eulogy from Lord Forsyth: "I wonder whether your Lordships remember the Austin Allegro. The Austin Allegro was probably the worst car ever built. It was completely unreliable, it had a totally underpowered engine, and its big selling feature was that it had a square steering wheel. This car was designed by the management for political reasons. They ignored the people who knew about cars and design and it was meant to save British Leyland. It was the management's answer. In fact, they were so convinced that it would save the company that it was nicknamed the "flying pig"."
One of my 1st cars was an Allegro, but the much sportier estae with the flip at the rear of the roof acting as a spoiler.
Certainly fun. Wouldn't see it as a daily driver. Mrs749er has a 104BHP smart car. It has the engine from a Smart Roadster, remapped for more boost. It's really quick. Not as quick as this though. She surprises the bejesus out of people with it, when she plants the foot.
Depends how much but.... Demolish my garage, whack a driveway all the way down to the bottom of the garden and build a triple. Go into business (making no money whatsoever) renovating bikes with my mate at work (we always say if one of us won it we'd do it together) Make point of going round the world to watch motogp's and not having to take sarnies/food Brough with you, best seats in the house! Superleggera KTM 450smr that's had the tits tuned off of it. Top of the range rsv4 My own race team.. Somewhere abroad... Maldives and somewhere like Boston for the winter (home alone stylee) I'd love to do that secret millionaire thing and give people dosh that really deserve it... That's it for the moment...
