Hi I've imported my 2002 748e from the US but struggling to figure out what i need re: type approval to be able to get it road registered. I think I just need the approval type number!? but not clear where I can get this from. Anyone done this already / know whats needed ? thanks in advance
Thanks Chris - I've read this one a few times and just points to: Motorcycle Single Vehicle Approval Which has the following Eligibility conditions for MSVA are under 10 years old have not been registered before in the UK do not have ECWVTA or provisional UK vehicle type approval My bike is 20 years old so doesn't count!? I'm trying to see if there's someone thats imported a bike this age for some pointers.
Look on your VIN label on the frame for the type approval number it should start e1 Get the bike MOT’d on the VIN number Submit form V55/5 for plate
Thanks again. Unfortunately what i think is that sticker / decal is rubbed almost clean. All the others inside the decal are fine and all the VIN's match. Is there another way of finding out the type approval number ?
