Information Bimota?

Discussion in 'Newbies Hangout' started by Jane123, Oct 9, 2021.

  1. was waiting for someone else to have a go but decided it's not conventional Bimota but might be a Bimota Special as intimated, as tube layout at front of frame does mimmick an early frame* a little but upper and lower main rails are closer together (on yellow frame) and lacking available possible torsional ability as a result.

  2. If you have a frame and engine number I would contact Ducati factory direct in Bologna. They are very good at providing info on vintage frame and engine numbers.

  3. Looking forward to more pics

  12. If it turns out to be ‘special’ maybe Bimota themselves might be interested in it for their museum?

  13. and let's face it, that's a lot of covering - Alaskan King bedcover comes to mind.

  15. I knew one of you would have something on the go :)

  16. Yes, it could be. I've only been working on the engine, the owner needs to do a bit of tidying up as it has been a slightly neglected in Japan.

  17. Loving this thread. I have no idea what it is but it’s great to learn along. Let’s hope it’s a real Bimota. I had the pleasure of riding one once in South Wales. Brilliant.
