Thanks for your message and apologies are in order as I really should have posted something to say we’ve given up on the idea. It’s clear that I’ve probably got more chance of getting a spot on a Blue Origin flight than on an IOM ferry this week! Flying there wouldn’t work unfortunately as my dog is recovering from major surgery. Although he would have been perfectly fit to travel with us in the van (in fact, he’s recovering so well that the vet has had to prescribe tranquillisers to try and keep him quiet!), I wouldn’t want to leave him with anyone because the stays in ICU have made him quite needy, plus it wouldn’t be fair to put that responsibility on someone else.
