Mental masturbation that makes no difference whatsoever to our experiences of life, whatever we are. "I think, therefore I am." And on that note, here's a "good" joke: A horse walks into a bar. The bartender asks the horse if it's an alcoholic because he is always going into bars. The horse replies "I don't think I am" and promptly disappears. You may only laugh at this if you are familiar with the philosophical proposition: Cogito ergo sum, or I think, therefore, I am. But if I explained the premis beforehand, I would be putting Descartes before the horse.

Why ? I am expressing my opinion, whilst acknowledging that someone else holds a differing opinion. I can no more prove my opinion is correct than they can theirs. As I have said already, in my opinion it should be fairly self-evident that something as small and insignificant as the human mind will never be able to comprehend, understand or adequately describe something as immense, complex and chaotic as the entire universe. Other people hold different opinions. Neither of us can prove that we are correct...
