It's definitely an issue on the 1199, one which I've spent quite a bit of money to try and resolve. I've had my rear headers ceramic coated and wrapped, I've got the comfort seat which I've fitted a layer of Tekno Fibra heat proof sheeting to and I've fitted the engine and subframe covers (in carbon, of course) Even now things still get a little hot, but it's nowhere near as bad as it used to be.
