That would explain the MPs' expenses scandal being all over the Telegraph and MPs being banged up after press exposés then. You have no idea how journalists operate in a free press so it's simpler to invent mad conspiracies with no proof or foundation in fact.
It's not Politicians that tell the press what to say, if anything it's the likes of Rupert Murdoch and Paul Dacre that tell politicians what to say without the boring necessity of being elected or in anyway answerable for the bile and hate they spew on a daily basis.
