  3. Perhaps we’ll see a V4R next year in the superbikes ?

  4. Not sure they could get it to do 2 laps without a huge fuel tank or stopping at a garage halfway round to top up lol !

  5. What’s the crack with the v2 then? (That Matt Roberts called a 959 on the highlights show last night).
Presumably no aero, how much of a reduction in power for them to compete against 600s? Anyone got the regs pls? @Android853sp

  6. @Red899, these, https://docs.msv.com/2025 E1.6 Supersport RC3.pdf, are the MSVR Supersport regs. I’ve not really gone into any depth but for the Ducati, you are looking at a virtually stock engine, standard cams and valves and I’m pretty sure standard air box. Matt Roberts is a knob, hard to understand how a man can present motorcycle racing for so long yet know so little. Andy

    • Thanks Thanks x 1

  7. Thanks I think I thought the TT had slightly different regs to bsb. Interesting.
Dean Harrison seemed a bit miffed and frustrated too.

  8. That could very well be the case. The BSB Supersport levelling has done a good IMO with close racing between the 600RR, the GSXR750, the Triumph 675 and the V2. Andy

  9. Done a bit more digging and cannot find a copy of the IOM TT 2025 regs but did find a reference to including the “new generation Supersport” rules that saw the Ducati V2 included for the first time last year. I’m guessing they’ll use the FIM Next Generation Supersport rules as the source document. After Kennedy’s dominance on the Honda in the BSB Supersport last year, I’m sure Dean expected a different result. Andy

  10. @Red899, in the TV coverage commentary, the Ducati V2 is restricted to 79% of full throttle. Andy

  11. I find all this a bit confusing now (not hard etc).
So if the stock 2025 v2 is now around 120hp you’re telling me it’s restricted to under 100 now and still beating a cbr round the TT etc…?
Must be a piece of piss to rag the arse off. Pin it and chin it etc…
No disrespect to MD or others of course!!

  12. And still achieving a top speed 6mph more than the Honda. Last year, in the hands of Davey Todd the throttle was limited to 80% and couldn’t beat the Yamaha R6 Dunlop won on. Dunlop, on the island, is the difference. As for 2026, I think it’s likely you’ll see the V2 further restricted. Andy

  13. wonder how an unrestricted one would go round?

dunlops bike sounds awesome, and it only at 80%, maaann you gotta love a ducati, and this makes me want a V2 even more

wonder how quick my 899 would go round there with set of tyres and suspension tweak, literally as is

if any one hasn't seen this, it is pure panigale porn

  14. Except for tyres, that was a bog standard bike. Worth noting, the speedo shows dashes over 190 something mph and it would only pull maximum revs in 6th gear. I miss my Speciale, I don't miss the neck pain and double vision :joy: Andy

  15. It’s also making me wonder if the 959 is the most pointless *supersport bike ever made at 157 odd bhp stock.

  16. They are using last year's
They are using last year's V2 I think, the 959. The 2025 bike is 890cc.
