That temp gauge does appear hot for water temp, where does that oil pressure go when you rev it past 2000 rpm ?? This was my Turbo having been stuck in traffic forever at Porsche day in Beaulieu a few years back....
Pressure sits 1-3 then up higher when on the move, which it’s the internet says it is where it should be
3 when its cold, one as it gets hot, then 5 bar when hot if revved sounds good. Still be a little curious to the high water temp though ?? Fans kicking in @bradders ??
I'm sure there are so many dials in a porsche just so the owner can see more reflections of himself in the dials glass
Yes, cause most of us are chizel jawed model types as you well know Noobile (bradders is the exception obviously)
Yyyyyeah....Don't want to worry @bradders but my understanding is that a bit hot is NOT what you want it running to avoid the bore-scoring problems too. A mod to help prevent bore-scoring is to fit a cooler thermostat in fact. It's probably fine but you may want to follow-up on that one, just in case.
Spent today cleaning it after my little test run out. Seems to have a few minor things like signs of some corrosion around top of rear shield but not broken the paint and have to look closely, or polishing. Ran it for a good half out just ticking over and it sat at c90 and stayed there, no fans on, no bad smells or signs of getting way too hot. Didn’t go higher at all. Coolant at minimum level when engine running. Only real disappointment is the f*cking media!! And the rear panel above the ‘hood’ under the rear screen has some fading and hazing. It’s a really unusual colour, almost TVR in the way it’s blue or purple, depending on the angle you view it. Overall, think I seem to have got a good car that needs very little to make a show-standard investment Now polished so cover on time
