  6. When you have a new bike or are a new member, the tradition in here is to have a bin in the background shot, dunno why

Got a kwak myself (z1000)....i almost bought an s1000r but didnt like it - on the s1000r forum that i registered on (as i was just about to buy one) - i said i bought a z1000 then within about 4 posts literally got told to fuck off...

  11. Right, so I went to the store to get myself a bin. But did not find anything I really liked.

The bike ride to the store was espectacular though. Front brake is incredible, rear break non-existent. The power, well the power insane. Handling is superb, was able to move from side to side with no problem. Its heavy but very easy to maneuver. Tires are great too, felt like rails. Over all very happy with the purchase. Only complaint is the rear brake.

Still looking for a bin though. :D

  16. That said the rear brake on most Ducatis are not great. Enjoy your new bike I still enjoy getting my GSX out for a thrash.

  18. Hi folks,

    I have some terrible news.

I don't know how to say this. Im just gonna come out with it.

The bike is insane, makes my 899 feel like a toy.

Handling is so much easier. Bike keeps the line so much easier. There is no out of controlness.

Breaking is insane. I slightly touch the brakes and it stops ASAP.

Yes, its not as beautiful as the 899, but everything else makes up for it.

I don't know what else to say. Only thing that comes to mind or feel is that Ducati designs bikes from a a visual perspective while this thing is designed from a usage perfective.

Ahh I feel awful yet I enjoy it so much...

  20. You seem to have forgotten the universal law that form is greater than function! For example, I’m buying a race helmet to go touring in... because I couldn’t find a touring helmet with graphics that I liked :) Also I’m touring on a monster because I feel it looks nicer than the touring options open to me. Form always comes first :)
