  1. Crutchlow is on a factory bike, paid by factory, just not repsol team isn’t he?

  2. Tbf I’ve not been a fan since he took out Haslam and then blamed Melhandri. Some of his riding (overriding) on that Honda was mental.

he truly is one of the best brit SBK riders easily. He has been decent competition, incl Sykes when stela’s was at his prime on the same bike.

  3. I think you are correct, Crutchlow is employed by Honda but until last year or maybe the year before, had Marquez's cast offs. I believe he also does a fair bit of testing which rarely gets reported. Andy

  4. LCR & Honda is in my mind NOT a full blown factory contract. When you share the same garage with matching leathers and their sponsors attached then yes, plus your own personal payment top up plan.

  5. Crutchlow's contract is with HRC.

  6. The comparison with Joey isn't a bad one, as he was also a pretty consistent winner with not that much to say for himself in the way of glad-handing people. JR and JD both let the racing do the talking... Foggy wasn't very likeable, and Kocinski certainly wasn't... the likeable ones tend to be the underdogs or burn very bright and go pop. Reddiing is a breath of fresh air in that sense, as like him or loathe him (I think he's quite likeable if a bit daft and chavvy) he brings some colour without actually being unprofessional. Even when he had a public outburst about Aprilia he apologised to the team and his crew for that... I like him.

What I don't like about JR and others such as Alistair Sealey (Seeley?) is the spoilt brat attitude when things aren't going their own way. When Bautista could still remember which way to face on a motorcycle JR was bleating about his "showroom bike" vs. the "MotoGP bike" Ducati...

Get Fenetti in WSBK, that'll liven things up! :D

  7. Carl signed up with TEAM LCR in 2015 with support from HRC i.e factory hand me downs / plus the usual technical knowhow,i do believe he has the contract with them first & foremost (LCR) but now with FULL support from HRC in the public eyes for 2019/2020 seasons.
Question is why isn't he alongside Marc Marquez with better results.

  8. Since 2017 he's been under contract with HRC to ride for LCR, the intention was and remains to keep Crutchlow and LCR onside I think. For Cal it has kept him with Honda, and I'm pretty sure that until #99 arrived at Repsol Honda he was a good candidate for an orange suit.

(and I'm fairly sure Cal has a '20 spec RCV for this season, although his team-mate Nakagami is on a '19)

  9. Because he brings nothing to the table. His personal sponsors are, in the scheme of things, do not offer sufficient financial inducement (one of which is in direct competition to one of Marquez's) and sad to say, is in the twilight of his MotoGP career. Oh yes, I forgot, his face doesn't fit and he's British. Andy

  10. Thank you for the link much appreciated:upyeah:the long and short of it is that he still swings his leg over a satellite bike every race weekend, which includes satellite technicians.this for me as a rider is a 9ct deal & not the full factory 18ct package.IMO:upyeah:
