Hi all, for those who've not seen my posts on other forums, I 'organise' the Kent DOC meets. we meet the fourth Sunday of each month, from midday onwards at Mickeys Diner, on the A229, just North of Maidstone. We get a good crowd and normally 10+ Dukes! If you're in the South East and fancy a cuppa pop along
The meet started in October so the intention was always to get a good group together over the winter months and see where we went from there. My worry was that some people wouldn't drag their bikes out until spring and arrive at the meet to find no bugger there as we were off riding! Now most people are aware of us we can start making plans for ride outs now the weather is better. The first ride out will be to the Horsham Piazza on April 6th. With plans to meet at Mickeys Diner, ride to the Oakdene cafe at Wrotham to collect more people, then over to Box Hill for a ride down to Sussex. I did think about asking Horsham Council to re-arrange their annual Italian weekend, but thought better of it! The run out in April is for the Ferrari/Ducati/Any other Italian bike day. Last year was a scorcher and a really good day out!
tbh, I'm not sure Horsham Council could move Easter's 'Good Friday' - been an established annual event for a while... Hi NN I'll be up for one of your meets this year at Mickeys Diner, and I'm going to Piazza Italia and just posted on Bikerbabes Horsham Piazza post asking if anyone is riding to Motori di Marino from Boxhill so would be great to meet up with you guys and gals there? When are you going to get to Box?
I'm going, but will be by car - boo, babysitting my kids that day (so to earn pass for Brands Hatch BSB on the Sunday and Monday). Looking forward to it, going to pack camera and nappies for the little one!!! happy days! Oh - is babysitting my own kids the right thing to say?!?!?!?
