  2. At the moment this will work for chipped key bikes using the type of key in the above images

  3. @chrisw can you clone these? 2009 MY. I only got the one black key when I bought the bike, no 2nd key & no code card. I don’t believe they had red keys then, just 2 black & code card.

  4. No. But with one key and the code card you can program a new key.

  5. Hi Chris,
Yes please to a red key :)
As you know, I now have two black keys and a code card, so a red key to replace my ‘misplaced’ one would be perfect.
    Many thanks.

  6. To create a red key would require the reading of the chip on the dash.

  7. Ah, so that hasn’t changed.
    Thanks Chris.

  8. Any idea where I might be able to get a replacement code card from? Ducati I guess? Although I do recall reading on here in another thread that if one opens the dash the code is printed on the PCB inside. Is that the case? Anyone know?

  9. No, it's not true.
I don't think that Ducati keep/kept records of the Code Cards either, but it's always worth asking either your local friendly dealer or DUK.
There are ways to get the code from the dash without having to pull the dash apart due to weaknesses in the security of the dash and immobiliser system, but it's not a simple process.

  10. Thanks. In your opinion then, or yours @chrisw, if I took the one key I have to a specialist auto key place would they be able to read the transponder and copy it?

  11. It can be done. A Zedbull and TPX module will program a 4D ID60 transponder. A call to an Auto Key Specialist is worth a try.

  12. Thanks @chrisw much appreciated

  13. Or a 4D Magic Wand, or a CN900 Mini ;)

  14. I actually have a CN900 but it is on permanent loan to Ducati John.
