bit late to the party here, but a friend of mine who's knocking on a bit has seen and done more than most of us put together, often speaks to large groups and has a brilliant tag line he sometimes rolls out. It's simple and a bit cheesy but strikes a chord with me - 'life is a business that deals in the acquisition of memories'. I don't think it matters how you get those memories, buying and owning the things you want or holidays and places you visit, having kids etc, as long as you do whatever floats your boat. I've got a few mates who seem to treat this life like its a practice run for the next, saving all the stuff they want to do for later.
