Having a bit of a mare getting hold of some Brembo seals for my 899 clutch master cylinder, I’ve been told that Brembo don’t sell a clutch seal repair kit, I only need one poxy seal to sort this problem , you can see from the above picture that there’s a tiny pin hole through the front seal and I’m losing clutch pressure when I’m trying to hold the clutch in. I need Brembo seal number 05426374, it’s 16mm o/d 8mm bore and 5 mm thick. Everyone I’ve tried don’t seem interested, they only want to flog you a master cylinder for £240 Which is a total rip-off when it’s one tiny seal that’s giving me grief. Anyone have any contacts, ideas, suggestions etc......Help !!! Poucher
Theres a place at Silverstone, moto performance?? Maybe @andyb can confirm the name. Had a radial mc built by them, new seals, £25 while I waited a few years ago.
Eurotek KTM at Ripon are not a million miles away from me, I think I’ll pay them a visit tomorrow Also if you can find the name of the place at silverstone that would be a great help Bradders Thanks all
Different name but in the right kind of place http://www.idpmoto.com/parts could be worth a call IIRC they were next door (or at least 1 min walk) from GP Legends store
I got a new rubber boot for my 999 master cylinder online from KTM dealers Trevor Pope They have parts diagrams that enable you to find and choose what you need and just order it. Easy peasy
ciao, anche io cerco questo ricambio 05426374. puoi farmi sapere tutto quello che sai? misure, codici, codici ktm? grazie mille hi, I also look for this spare 05426374. can you let me know everything you know? measures, codes, ktm codes? thank you so much
Hi All, Icssiculo thanks for your effort but I’ve made a breakthrough today at Teessdale motorcycles at Thirsk, basically I’ve had a good rifle through there Spareparts and found the exact replacement seal kit for just over 20 quid !! When I pull it all apart again I’ll do a full write up with pics so it’s crystal clear what KTM part no’s you need and some tips on how to rebuild it and get all the springs and seals back into the master cylinder. Today I feel like I’ve made some progress !!
All sorted now, see post no 57 here for full details of part numbers and how to tutorial, Cheers, Poucher https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/alternatives-to-the-genuine-ducati-parts.594/page-3
Folks, Ducati may not include the kits in their parts book but they do kits for some of them including older versions like the 851. Ducati 749/999 clutch masters have a 15mm bore and the kit is available using part number 61041991A, Brembo part # for the kit is is 98502960 available from Ducati dealers at around £37. It fits the following including 899 (caution this is a 15mm cylinder not the 16mm claimed in the OPs first post) Following is C&P from Moto Rapido 2009 - 2010 Monster 1100/S 2014 - 2019 Monster 1200/S 2016 - 2019 Monster 1200 R 2006 - 2008 Monster S4R/S (Testastretta only) 2011 - 2019 Diavel/Diavel Carbon 2016 - 2019 XDiavel/S 2008 - 2009 Hypermotard 1100/S 2010 - 2012 Hypermotard 1100 Evo/Evo SP 2010 - 2014 Multistrada 1200/S/Touring 2015 - 2017 Multistrada 1200 DVT S/Touring 2018 - 2019 Multistrada 1260/S/Touring 2016 - 2018 Multistrada Enduro/Pro 2012 - 2015 Streetfighter 848 2010 - 2013 Streetfighter/S 2003 - 2006 749/S/R 2003 - 2006 999/S/R 2008 - 2013 848/Evo/Evo Corse SE 2007 - 2009 1098/S/R 2009 - 2011 1198/S/R/SP 2014 - 2015 Panigale 899 2016 - 2019 Panigale 959 2012 - 2014 Panigale 1199/S/R 2015 - 2017 Panigale 1299/S 2015 - 2017 Panigale R 2018 - 2019 Panigale V4/S The part number for 851 version is 000047226 for around £25 or Brembo part #98502970 which fits the following 1990 - 1990 851 1990 - 1993 907 ie 1993 - 1997 Supersport 400 1991 - 1997 Supersport 600 1991 - 1997 Supersport 750 1991 - 1997 Supersport 900 (only bikes equipped with integral fluid reservoir - up to chassis number 012262) I suspect the £20 KTM service kits have the same bits in them, just need to work out what the KTM equivalent part number is unless they just use Brembo numbers. The 851 clutch master is the same as those fitted to a KTM125SX FWIW Guess who is having nightmare with his 999 clutch at the moment?
