  1. That's first past the post for you bradders.

  2. Tartan Socialism, where there is the belief that anything anybody needs should be provided free at the point of delivery if they are too "poor" to pay for it themselves ?

  4. I read a good definition of "free at point of delivery " You go shopping at the weekend and buy a nice bottle of wine. Come Wednesday evening you decide to drink said bottle of wine and it is "free at point of delivery " Nice.

  5. Unfortunately the socialist version involves placing your bottle in a communal wine cellar and handing the keys to an alcoholic.

  11. Seriously though, it will be interesting watching developments in Scotland, and I do wish them well.

Instinctively I don't think that "ending austerity" (did it ever begin ?) and scrapping Trident is the way to go; the SNP are the cuckoos in the Westminster nest.

It will be fascinating to see what Red Ed will compromise on in the pursuit of power.

  12. I thought there was an 'i' missing in the 'snp' part of the title and this was more gruesome ops.

  13. Amusing reverse ferret there. You refer to the share of the vote at the general election, then when I respond to your point, you smoothly swap to the numbers of MP seats. Nice one.

  14. She doesn't keep her word for long then? A few weeks ago when she was on Question Time, she said something along the lines of it being a line she'd never cross (forming a Government with Labour due to Trident policy). Maybe she tunelled under that line....She's a proper politician now then.

I really hope the thought of a Labour/SNP coalition will drive voters into the safe hands of the Conservatives. They are the best of a bad bunch at the moment for me. But hey I'm a southerner :upyeah:

dont think there chasing any cabinet positions ether, although the experience would only of been a good thing for the party.
do i trust labour with the economy. not really.

  16. Would I trust Jimmy Savile in a children's ward or Heinrich Himmler in a Synagogue? Not really.
