My 1200R is now recovered and back with the dealer. I had the reg/rec replaced a few weeks back and it hasn't cured the problem. This time it broke on a dual carriageway, lost power and a strong electrical burning smell. I was able to get it started again, and limped it back home then the AA took it away. No idea what's causing this.
.. Though they now suspect the stator has burnt. Having had a CBF1000 with the famous stator issue I know that's an easy enough diagnosis....
