Hi All Just thinking of buying a secondhand Monster and want to know if the up and down shifter is a standard oem item on some models. Also was there an upgrade around 2017, Thanks
It is standard equipment on the 17 onwards M1200s, don't know about other models. However, it is crap.
It is oem item on the 2017 and upwards 1200S and 2018 and upwards 821 dark stealth. Below 2017 for M1200 there is no programming in the ECU for QS. You can only buy healtech or other 3rd party which are mostly upshift only.
Mine wasn't too good when it was new, but with a few thousand miles on it it works great, very pleased with it, far better than my Supersport ever was.
