I was 13 months old at the Apollo 11 landing. I have no idea what my family had as a TV then, and I certainly don’t have no memory of the moon landing then. We probably didn’t have one. I think it was Apollo 15 as that had the moon rover and Apollo 14 didn’t. We went decimal in February 1971 Apollo 15 was 26 July 1971 when I was 3 years and 2 months old.
I remember the TV coverage of Apollo 13. I sensed the tension amongst the adults I knew. Oddly, all I thought at the time was, "They will fix it cos astronauts are smart and the guys at Mission Control are smart, too". Damn, I miss that blind trust I used to have in experts.
You don't need an expert for dental work - just a dentist. Unless it is reconstructive work, then you might need an orthodontist. Who is also not an expert.. Silly lad.
What have you done, starting this thread. I’m in the garage, radio on, and they’re now discussing the same thing. There are more people in Cork who are phoning in saying it’s all fake than those who believe it happened. Jeez, what are people on

we have one almost unnoticed leap forward that I'm using at the moment. A combination of the development of electronics, computer processing and telecommunications has created the internet within a very short 30 odd year period. Never before has mankind been so connected. Person to person, machine to machine interaction has exploded. Whether this turns out to be a good thing or a bad thing is yet to be concluded but I think this change is an order of magnitude greater than the moon landings. It might not portray the level of bravery of the Apollo astronauts but the consequences are far more profound.
