1200 Enduro More Front End Clonk Diagnosis

  1. Just a thought (in diagnosing my front end clonk) does the Skyhook front suspension still function if the left hand fork leg is unplugged from the electrickery?

  2. No it won't, left leg will go solid. Pretty sure your suspension is topping out, if you unwind the preload all the way on the right leg, assuming you've adjusted this to your weight etc. I bet the noise reduces or disappears.
     
  3. Thanks, yes I have added preload, will try backing it off all the way.

  5. Hi Rich, yeah all fixed, turns out it was the fender extender was catching the knobbly tyres I'd fitted! I think it was probably the crash bars pushing the fender extender into the tire on about half suspension compression.

    No issues with the relatively smooth 80/10 tyre I had on before but I put Dunlop TrailMax Raids on ...

    It did cost me a new front mudguard as it had snapped the mounting tabs but a relatively cheap solution.
