Given KTM’s recent parlous financial state, is that reasonable to think they have the funding to develop a 2027 spec bike ? Mika Kalio is a bit of an anachronism for me, he has very limited experience in MotoGP, having had a handful of wildcard rides and taking over from Zarco for the final 6 rounds after Zarco and KTM parted company. Not sure what he brings to KTM but he’s been a KTM test rider for over a decade. Andy
Theye said the bike he was riding sounded different and significantly slower on the straight so assumptions are that it was the 850, no confirmation yet as far as I’m aware. Kallio was a great 125/250/m2 rider but correct achieved very little else since 2015

They had the Sepang test on tnt last year but I think we’re going to get over ruled by the winter Olympics this year. Cant see it on my schedule.

I know it’s a completely unique scenario this year what with the current bikes being ditched at the end of it but this all seems like completely ill advised messaging from Fabio to me. “I haven’t signed to ride for your biggest rivals next year yet, but there have been talks, please keep on supporting me as your number one rider in the meantime”. Errrrmmmmm….
