there's only one thing you have ever beaten "in" your van exe. and that dont count for much. according to Mrs exe.
Got them on my 996 and 900ie the ie is stupid loud, nothing wrong with that sound, there's a guy who rides past our place on a Yam MTO9 don't know what pipe it is but it sounds fucking awesome.
They want us all to get back to work, but they are looking to make commutes longer for a large number of people. I know it will just be minutes for each journey, but all the same, this really adds up over time. So what if we all have electric vehicles, will they let us drive at 100+ mph on motorways? I don't think so. Agree with Stealth Tax. Less fuel used = less tax = need to cover the shortfall!
How many resources energy and cost to make one electric car, this does more damage to the environment then making a petrol motor then there is disposal of fucked Lithium batteries : One of the side effects of lithium mining is water pollution: the process of mining can affect local water supplies, potentially poisoning communities. Yet chemical leakage is also a major concern when it comes to lithium mining. The lithium carbonate extraction process harms the soil, and can cause air pollution, then there's : Lithium toxicity, also known as lithium overdose, is the condition of having too much lithium. Symptoms may include a tremor, increased reflexes, trouble walking, kidney problems, and an altered level of consciousness. Some symptoms may last for a year after levels return to normal. False economy!!
What they don't seem to realise or want to admit is that it's all just energy conversion, be it petroleum products in an ICE or charging up your environmentally unfriendly batteries, they just need to figure out how to extract maximum cash from us to pay for their ego's.... Cynicism comes with age
Since I returned to going to the Isle of Man for my annual holidays in 2007, I can't remember a single time that the part of the M6 covered by this legislation has ever been free of speed controlled road works, with the average speed being under 30mph... It's just window dressing or creeping control over the motoring/motorcycling public IMO. So much for Boris and his chums being libertarians. Steve R
Electric vehicles do have the advantage that they cause the pollution somewhere else, which is helpful in inner city areas. Especially near schools that presently have queues of Chelsea Tractors sitting with the engine idling twice per day.
Pollution? So they decided up North was the best place to trial it? Why not the M4 where there has already been a 50mph restriction for over fifty miles for nearly two years?
And increase congestion and road rage, plus Romanian and Polish drivers will still be driving 2” from your rear bumper.
I’m sure someone in the Department of Transport and Highways England will have sat down with the latest air quality data mapping and looked for where Motorways are adjacent to, or south-west of the pollution hot-spots. https://naei.beis.gov.uk/emissionsapp/
