Does anyone know anything about MTX reg/recs for the SS? Specifically, MOSFET for Lithium e.g. - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265446196714 I note that it doesn't fit the 91/92 900 SS, but appears to fit all others; maybe that's just an error in the listing, or possibly because the output from the 91/92 alternator is not compatible? I've checked various sites, including NL website caferacerwebshop (thanks @bumpstart) but they don't seem to stock anything suitable for the 90's 900ss. Ideally, I'd like one which can work with both Lithium and Lead Acid.
This might be what you need https://ebay.us/m/cQqpih I have retained my standard regulator on my 900SS after fitting a lithium battery, I did check the output and it didn’t go over 14.2volts at any point throughout the rev range and load so I’ve left it on. I have considered replacing it with this model though The Shido battery I got from caferacerwebshop has been a great, it really packs a punch spinning the engine up easily with no sign of hesitation
You would be better with a Shingenden R/R. A series technology one would be best. A mosfet shunt type would work with a lithium battery.
