Multiple Myeloma

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by Ducbird, Sep 4, 2018.

  1. Hmm. I avoided dental work pre-pandemic because they wouldn't confirm or deny they'd use gas. Which seemed like confirmation, to me.

Actually I still don't like it! No problem with needles.

I'm paying in later life for opening beer bottles and cracking walnuts with my teeth in my youth...

    Good, is it?

  2. There are no side effects from gas and air
    I find it ok :)

  3. I had a colonoscopy yesterday (sorry if that's TMI) and had gas and air - great stuff!

    All clear anyways (literally :D)

My wife is teetotal so we shared G&A when she was in labour and to this day it's the only time we've been 'wonky' together.

Anyway, what I joined in to say was best wishes to you Ducbird - keep the faith.

  4. It's my one phobia, from childhood. I used to have fillings without anaesthetic rather than that gas/rubber mask experience.

  5. Please! I was eating a sandwich and nearly pebble dashed the wall.

  6. Love this :D
    Good news on the colonoscopy
I have one of those too and endoscopy mine were all clear apart from a gastris flare up
It was part of the investigation into my anaemia and myeloma diagnosis

  7. So, you remain conscious? Kind of like a lumbar puncture is it?

yes. You feel like spaced out
Aware of what’s going on and the gas and air stops the painful bit

  8. I forgotten how painful that is
I’m a bit of a crier after gas and air :sob:
I’m now having a cup of tea and biscuit

Had a lovely hug off my nurse specialist
    First one in 18 months

  16. Ever been stoned? It's a bit like that. Just makes any discomfort a bit more bearable.
