I remember your thread Al, it was a good job done on the cat. Are you still running it with no problems? Basically it’s a straight through pipe now with an end can.
I am and no hassle at all, it’s not quite straight through though as it’s no way as loud as that, I tried that option and the village went mad. This is a good compromise as some of the decibels are kept in but I can hear it even with ear plugs in and nobody moans.
Would it be possible to get some DB numbers? Quantify as opposed to qualify helps riders decide and compare different set-ups.
Hi Bob, Looking forward to your review about your new Spark titanium link pipe. Especially with the db killer when you receive it. I really like the idea of trashing the heavy cat box but concerned about sound level. I suspect it's loud right now but how loud? Can you quantify with the Decibel X app on your phone? What's the db's at idle and 2000 rpm measured at 45 degree and 20 inches away?
