Also Why have a company car and do 4K a year... the tax is much more than the benefit... Does not help your problem ... but... my guess also is petrol... not diesel...
You can get a few miles on petrol in diesel, but only if its less than 10% of the tank really. If it is, expect a large bill that your company probably wont pick up....
And don't think Nissan do ad blue eco version for this model. You would have a warning light if it was, and it would just stop.
A lady was telling me her husband filled their diesel with petrol and drove all the way up north luckily without breaking down but wouldn’t start once stopped
She was serious lol he went to Sheffield apparently She always checks she puts diesel in his as she drives a petrol
some older cars you can get away with it without any real gamage, i have done it, damn near necked it from near empty with petrol on my old Astra van, it was a bit misy/smokey. i was heading fr inversneky at the time, about 100mls so just kept it going while i refilled up there. i would strongly recommend not driving a modern diesel if you think you have put petrol in it.
Don't think it would have done the sort of mileage he has on petrol ?? And if you have, will probably ruin the injector pump as it uses the diesel to lubricate it. Will probably feck the motor as well due to much higher compression ratio from diesel engines but much higher volatility from petrol.
Injector seals is also a possible - needs a lot to crack over also I believe egr valves were common on the Renault - same engine
Well car's back as good as new. Root cause........."Fuel cross contamination". So, let's never speak of this again. I did get a free badge.
