Had a RAM ball mount through my stem on the 899 but now using a 1/4 inch thread so my X2 can quickly & easily fit. Camera swivel/gimbal mount from Wex Photography at £6.20. Bargain; added bonus of being black/red. Used a 1/4 inch bit of threaded rod, some nuts and rubber washers plus threadlock to build up a fixing so the gimbal can stew to it. Then just pop your camera of choice on to the standard camera mount threaded bit. Simples.
I like it, and would copy you but the threaded rod entry into the top of the aluminium Ducati part has left me flummoxed. Did you drill and tap or did it come with a modified one? Also - link to supplier would be great.
Looks like 899 has a hole already https://www.google.co.uk/search?cli...6ak9JMUJDMXRzM00YADABGAcgvoWj8AxKCBACGAEgAigB
https://www.wexphotovideo.com/about-us/store-finder/norwich/ 899 stem hole doesn’t require drilling/tapping as it’s wide enough for 1/4 inch threaded rod to pass through and in to base of gimbal mount.
Thanks, so no thread but you can clamp threaded bar either side of Pani "stem nut adjuster". With luck, that is interchangeable with earlier stem fixing design.
