  1. I believe the 748s and the 748e had this removed for budget reasons. No doubt I'm wrong about that.

  2. It's my understanding (i.e. I could be wrong) they all had it until the 748E, then only the S, SPS and R had it.

  3. I think you are right Andy - bound to be people along soon who live and breathe 748 who will confirm.

  4. I think the last year the BP was produced (2000??) it came without the adjustable headstock, but could be wrong.
