I thought it was Okay if very forced in places, Matt LeBlanc surprised me as he came across as the best of the bunch by a mile. I will give it a chance to settle in.
I agree with all the above, except the bit about "Far too scripted". Old TG was always tightly scripted, and the scripts were well written - that was the essence of the show. One of the many problems with new TG is not that it had a script but that the script was rubbish.
Just watched it to make my own mind up? Seemed like a clone of clarksons team mixed in with some new ideas? Didn't work for me at all and if that was their 1st showcase effort it wasn't for me.Hard call though - bit like taking over at Man Utd with the "ghost of fergie" to contend with - do you copy what he did or try totally new strategy? I'm gonna stick with the new 5Th gear - they aren't trying so hard that it shows and fails? Plus you've got Vikki Butler wass her name and she proper does it for me!
I enjoyed it, made me laugh and looking forward to having proper racing driver on test team, Sabine? Evans was a bit eager and shouty but should learn, hilarious fast star as took p''s out of Ramsey and he took it. Look foward to next week.
I can't stand Evans.....one of the most annoying dickheads on TV........... ........should have been Guy Martin presenting the show..........he would have brought something different to liven up the old format.

What does sabine race and whats her pedigree? Hardly Jason Platau...or Tiff Would have been better to reinvent entirely or not bother. Like David Moyes taking over from Sir Fergie: he shouldnt have bothered

She was competing in the Nurbergring 24 hour race over the weekend, can't find the results though as hail storms caused chaos.
Sabine is quick round one circuit and she's been driving it since she was a kid.My sisters an amazing swimmer but there again she is a mermaid
no one likes change. in time the new presenters will be accepted by most. A new format would have been nice. Copying the old format was all the old gang did week after week. So no different there. I would still rather watch the new topgear, than none at all. that is all.
