As far as I know the "ginger freaks" never punched one of his work colleagues in the face because he couldn’t get a hot dinner.
Looking at the figures - Top Gear : 13 years, 22 series, 11 specials... 2002-2015. TFI Friday : 4 years, 6 series, 1 special... 1996-2000 - then one series in 2015. Don't Forget Your Toothbrush : 2 Series 1994 - 1995. Evans on Big Breakfast : 1992-1994. No matter how successful (or not) the "new Top Gear" is - how long will it be before Evans gets bored with it - fails to turn up for work because he's still pissed from the night before, and leaves... ?
Before the 'Top Gear' fracas: Jeremy Clarkson's epic list of controversies if he was someone you worked with in the real world, not only would he have been sacked a long time ago but most people would have been glad to see the back of him as well hes a racist tory bigot and the worlds got plenty of them already
Why does his political persuasion keep popping up in your comments? What has that got to do with anything? I get that you don't like him... And I don't see Evans as a shining example of left-wing idealism...
No particular reason, just not a massive fan of tories/public schoolboys in general so just threw it in the mix as i was compiling a list of the things i dislike most about him. Youre probably right though, racist bully with a penchant for offending anyone that isnt him probably suffices.
Whiter than white ? DJ Chris Evans' sick joke about Jessie J and Jimmy Savile | Latest News | Breaking UK News & World News Headlines | Daily Star As far as I'm aware Clarkson's never impersonated a paedophile...
So just to be clear is it all tories or all public schoolboys or all tories who are public schoolboys that you dislike ? Half the Labour front bench were ex public schoolboys before the Corbyn Terror.
Clarkson's was hardly a silver spoon birth. He only got to go to public school because his Mum, in desperation to feed the family after another of Clarkson senior's regular financially catastrophic job failures began knocking up Paddington Bear soft toys on her sewing machine in the back room to sell to friends. They took off in a big way and became the ubiquitous hatted and duffle-coated Paddington teddy bears that were absolutely everywhere in the 1970's and made the family's fortune. Without that Clarkson would still be speaking with a Doncaster accent and probably driving a white van. At least he's made good on the advantage his parents struggled to give him and didn't squander it in idleness or develop a whining sense of entitlement. He's worked hard to get where he has and I've got no problem with anyone doing that whatever their personality or their political preferences.
I think its his whole snobby demeanour where he appears to think he’s above everyone as opposed to him actually voting tory although I do connect the two (rightly or wrongly).
The persona Clarkson adopts in Top Gear is characterised by shoutiness, hyperbolical exaggeration, being provocative, and mechanical incompetence. This is an entertaining characterisation which has achieved great popularity worldwide. He can however play other characters; has anyone seen his series about Victoria Cross holders? It is quite funny to see some folk swallowing Clarkson's persona whole and expressing opinions about him as though it was real. This is a tribute to his abilities as a performer. In other news, Schwarzenegger is not really a robot, Stallone is not really a boxer, and Edward G Robinson was not really a gangster.
