Me Too ............................................ Congratulations on the 1098 Tricolore , in my opinion , by far the best looking 1098 , Gold frame ............
Amazed she's gone to the trouble of he jacket & boots yet has left her guff & tuff totally unprotected... thats just irresponsible..
her bloody jackets too big....daft cow.. probably got it cheap off ebay. somehow, i dont think its her boots she had to get on with a shoe horn...fuck me...those shorts are so tight i can hardly breathe.
Makes my 848 Salma Hayek bird look a bit rough round the edges... I cant decide though... Need to print them off & have a look properly in the loo... Lights better in there..
So anyway..... my (now best) mate drove 30 odd miles to pick me up and drove me another 65 miles to pick the beast up last night..i rode back, rucksack bulging almost as much as my Dainese G-string with the amount of crap i had to chuck in there (even had to leave the bike cover at his coz my mate got an urgent call from his office)... it was a terror ride on the way back...pitch black, leaf strewn country lanes, foggy visor, pissing it down with rain, hurricane winds, unfamiliar bike, restrictive waterproofs on, heavy rucksack and unrelenting priapism... as i got nearer to Nottingham and picked up a few lit roads i was able to start to getting out of 2nd gear...then as i finally got to some dual carriageway i could start to enjoy a 'twist of the throttle'....i rolled on from about 30mph on the exit of a roundabout and went to shift up..glanced down and she was doing 115!!! i was carried along on a surge of torque and ejaculate..and i got a peek at what these sluts are capable of...it was dry near mine and i hung off a bit going round a roundabout on the A46...the steering is so light..thats what struck me immediately...it almost felt like i was on warmed up tyres from the get go...a very different bike to Bella the Beautiful Bolgna Bitch, but unmistakenly Ducati...a much easier bike to ride than the 916 (which doesnt mean 'better', just easier)... I spent an hour or two cleaning her when i got in and pulling my pud...today i put the stock screen back on (cant stand double bubble screens) and did some more cleaning and polishing..deep joy, i discovered that the black chain was actually gold!!! Bargain!! So im about to start the 3 part of the 1st leg of 1st series of cleaning and fettling sessions....so glad ive got a bog and a kettle in my garage! will post pics over the weekend when its dry and light...ive got that, 'falling in love feeling'...i darent start her up in case i burn my bell end on the 70mm termis...
Congrats Funky on your new purchase....I'm sure you'll love it!! I had one in 07....lovely bit of kit!!
Sounds like a good un then, bet you're buzzing forgot that you were Nottingham way as well. in that case get the pipes off and get them apart, then give this fella a call and see if he'll polish them for you - Hucknall Metal Polishers plus.google.com 4, 1 Wigwam Ln, Hucknall, Nottingham 0115 963 1525 He's next door to JAC exhaust, metal polisher is called Mick , he's a good old boy with kit that should be in some museum if I remember right, he's old school but then you get an old school job and no fucking about. and Wayne owns JAC and is an awesome manufacturer, I remember years ago when I bought my first Ducati S2R and needed a decat pipe, he knocked one up in 5 mins flat bent to perfection and ran lovely and close to the engine, loads of people went to him for those. these are the boys mate trust me.
1098 but prettier (imho) than the R.. buzzin' me tits off damo... might well pop over to f'ucknall..i work over there on a tuesday.. all i need to do is: a) figure out how to get her petticoats off, and b) figure out how to get the pipes off without breaking anything, damaging anything, losing my rag and smashing the fuggin bike to pieces.
forgot to mention..when i got her 'ome, i looked at the rear tyre (bsb supercorsa) and saw that id actually ridden right to the edge of the tyre in the pissing cold and wet... i think it was that roundabout on the A46...it was all so fuggin effortless..even freezin me taters off and busting for a wee...
ahhhh when I was a lad. riding in 2 feet of ice in the middle of winter. could only afford a cb125 managed to get my bar end down while having a piss in a bottle.. you dont know ya born these days
