Yep, they've been rescued, but good luck milking them, they're Herefords, grown for Beef.

Did you see the baby sea otters in the stream/pools at Omaha Cove I think, just north of Kaikoura?

Probably Seals as there are no Otters in NZ, I think that is the area called the nursery, it is now covered with a large landslide.
