  1. That was a good race :) The benefit of Monza is the race lasts about an hour. Perfect :upyeah:

  2. I still managed a little kip while it was on.

  3. Not a real criticism Glidofglood, just being ironic as my point was that maybe it's time to get a young, fit Rachel Riley in as replacement. We all like a bit of eye candy don't we?

We then need to swap DC for Jenson Button when he retires and I'd keep Eddie as I like there to be someone who is outspoken, opinionated and arrogant to add spice.

LH really annoyed me while at McLaren but the change to Mercedes has really brought out the best in him and he really deserves to beat NR as he's been the better (though unluckier) driver this year. If it's close for the last race that will be pretty sensational to watch.

  4. I like Button particularly - he doesn't seem up himself at all and would make a good future pundit.
Eddie Jordan is just a bit of a prannock. According to him it would be very dangerous for Hamilton to set himself an objective of just winning the remaining races and he is far better off just praying that Rosberg has a DNF in one of the final races. WTF? Winning drivers think about what they can influence, not about what is outside their control. It was obvious that Coultard thought that Jordan was talking out of his bum. It is also obvious that Jordan is rooting for Rosberg.

But Suzi? Time for contact lenses or corrective eye surgery. Glasses just don't cut it!

  5. Cant believe you were watching this instead of BSB, the supersports particularly wasepic

  8. Eurosport straight after wsbk in UK

  9. Not on Eurosport France!
(At least, I don't think it was).
But I'm not complaining. On Eurosport France you get MotoGP with the practice, all the races - everything and it doesn't cost me a bean (or no more that the entire Swisscom package I have which included all British terrestrial TV).

  10. Interesting race, and yes LH did well to win after a poor start. Great to see Massa back on the podium...
Unfortunately the BBC coverage was spoilt by their normal "Lewis fan club" commentry...
One thing that has been proved this year, with the way Danni Ricciardo is driving, is that Mark Webber never was as good as he liked to think he was. In the same car as the four-time world champion, who is really nowhere, he's the only one who has taken the fight to Mercedes...
( Now standing by for hail of abuse from GoldenBollox fanboys )

  11. Hail of abuse?No........just piss off JR!:upyeah:I am a Hamilton fan, there again I follow all the Brits.Glad he beat the Kraut.

  12. Lewis never used to be like that, before his break from pops as a manager he was actually a very gracious bloke, but as in all these things success takes over. I really hope that he doesn't succumb to believeing his celebrity is more important and comes before him being a sportsman as so many sorting personalities seem to became a victim of and then wonder why they got their arse kicked.

Today proved once again Lewis can't pull away for toffee with or without launch problems bit the one thing that the boy can do is drive the back side off the car he's been given, and that's what makes him what he is. Give his a rubbish car he performs, give him a great car he gives you reasons to cry with joy - MP4-23, I have a very soft spot for that car, it were brilliant as was he in it.

Jenson's greatest strength is consistency, lap after lap after lap he's a machine, but one prays the car is good as he can't grab it by the scruff of the neck and force it to work in the same way as Lewis or some notable others, but then they can't do what he does in return, Lewis destroys brakes and tyres. To me he has echoes of Aaron Slight and Coulthard, all amazing stable drivers, consistent known quantity no surprises drivers on or off the track.

  13. I really hope Rosberg gets a dnf just to level things up, just one.

It's just a pity that all the car troubles effected lewis because rosbergs mindset might now change to defence and not attack, i was quite liking the close racing between them so hope that doesn't stop

  14. bear in mind that whatever the team wants will come second to Merc GMBH desperately wanting a homegrown hero to replace Mike Shoe maker. Unfortunately they aren't getting it with Rossberg and nor are the german people getting behind Vittel either.

  15. Nico is, still, leading the championship. He doesn't actually need to "attack" or even win any more races to be champion this year. Personally I think it would be very dull if he just tours round picking up the points and doesn't race against Hamilton, and I hope that doesn't happen. Maybe a resurgent Williams team will take the fight to Merc as the season draws to a close?

  16. There are 6 more races and Hamilton has a 22 point deficit. So if he won them all, he'd make up 42 points on Nico, assuming that the latter came 2nd each time. And did I not understand that there are double points at Abu Dhabi (god knows why)? So that will make it possible to make up 49 points on Rosberg.
So Rosberg might not need to win any more races, but that does have to assume that Hamilton doesn't win them instead and that Nico doesn't have a DNF (which could easily be caused by another driver tooling into him).
So the title is still completely winnable for Hamilton and I can't see Nico touring around comfortably. If he starts doing that, he's not going to be World Champion.

  17. I agree entirely Glid - I was suggesting it as a possibility, but not a very serious one.
What I would like to see (and I have never been a Williams fan) is Williams taking the fight to Merc. I believe that Massa should have been champion the year that Hamilton won (standing by for more abuse) - maybe he's getting a bit old to ever win it now, sadly.
What I really hope we don't get is a "Prost/Senna" type incident at the last race. Maybe that's why double points will be awarded for that one? I really can't see any other reason...

  18. Sky F1 coverage is far superior to BBC's.

Lewis is a great driver. I'm pleased he won.

  19. The only possible explanation is to increase the probability of the championship being decided at the last race.

It shows it up for the circus it has become.
