You dealer really doesn't want to do this. They are fully aware that disconnecting the battery and unplugging the ECu and clocks takes away the risk..
after having an issue with my M3 oil pan plug i reviewed what options are available on the market, i would have a look at the Time set from Wurth, https://eshop.wuerth.de/Produktkate...ime-Sert/1401600601.cyid/1401.cgid/de/DE/EUR/ this is what i used on the sump and have a stronger thread connection between the alloy housing and plug now.
The dealer already tried the time sert in the first instance and said there was still a leak apparently once the engine warmed up. This is why the opening is bigger and needs a repair job
hmm strange as when you use the time-sert correctly you also cut a small recess for the upper insert flange to ensure a flange/thread interface and also thread lock is needed.
