It was taken in Manchester I believe on New Year’s Eve a few years ago now (early 2020’s) and is often described as an iconic image of modern day British society. It’s got it all going on tbf.
Agreed, he’s not too good now. And he got caught a couple of times. Joshua is almost certain land a shot or two and although he’s well past his best, he can still bang. Based on what we’ve seen in the last 24 hours, it’s hard to see anything other than Joshua by KO… And the worst bit- I can’t get excited about it…
There was a common workspace area behind all three rooms and I was working in the bar at the time and heard it all 'kick off'. By the time I got round to the lounge they were in mid grapple and the boss had come in to see what was going on. The whole event was just riddled with humour, the banality of the environment, the age, physicality and social standing of the fighters, the other guy was a regular who was always quiet, timid and polite plus there's infinite comedic value with a slipped toupee. It was Wednesday, which was always a quiet day, just before Thursday pay day, and as you say the entertainment more than made up for it and the depth of humour and entertainment is apparent by the fact I still remember and recall it 40 odd years later.
