  1. Been watching that - I messaged the owner yesterday as he's near Hull - I'm a bit concerned that it has no mot and hasn't been run regularly for 4 years. Also, it has been up for sale on the LC forum for a couple of weeks and hasn't sold. I suspect the owner has been told by his friends "you'll easily get £5500 for it", but as with all bikes, finding someone to pay isn't always easy.
I wouldn't pay anywhere near £5.5k for it

Guy I bought a 1098s off was selling that sp1.
The spec of the sp1 was impressive to say the least.
He told me he let it go too cheap, and he was probably right..

  3. Onda 954 much sweeter bike, the R1 is nice, however I'll liken it to the Mrs Handbags everyone has a MIchael Kors one lol

  4. are you still looking for the r1. i have a mate who is selling one. can pass on his number if you are

  5. No, I had a change of heart and bought another Ducati to add to the fold. Thanks all the same.

  6. Fair comment! Being around Dukes all the time scrambles the brain a bit I think - at least regarding bikes. Not every bike needs to be concours, have all keys or all docs. There are deals and bargains to be had if one can get over these things, or more importantly - new bikes to be ridden and experienced!

  7. Just sold my 99 Fireblade as I was due to move abroad but last minute change of plans means I'm staying. Had planned to keep it forever. I cried over my blade then bought a Ducati..... :)
